Panasonic intros new 3D Blu-ray player

Panasonic has expanded its line of 3D-enabled devices with a new 3D Blu-ray player, the DMP-BDT100. The entry-level device offers the same basic functionality as the company's other 3D Blu-ray players, including Internet functionality and 1080p upconversion.

Viera Cast allows users to connect to a variety of streaming services such as Pandora, Twitter, Netflix, YouTube and Amazon VOD. The player is also equipped to present JPEG stills or movies from many camcorders, connected via USB or through the integrated SD slot.

The DMP-BDT100 will ship sometime in August, although pricing has yet to be announced. For reference, the DMB-BDT300 and DMB-BDT350 are respectively priced at $400 and $430.
